Signs Your Elite Welding & Fabrication Is Failing

• The gate leans outward or inward by more than an inch at the top. This means a hinge weld or the post itself has failed. The steel isn’t holding the weight anymore, and the motor is now fighting gravity, not just momentum.
• You hear a sharp creak or a grinding sound when the gate moves. That’s metal on metal where a weld has cracked and the two faces are rubbing. It won’t quiet down on its own.
• The gate hangs up about two-thirds of the way through its travel. A warped or broken frame section is catching on the track or the ground. The motor may trip its safety limits or just burn out trying to push through it.
• A hinge or bolt mount is visibly cracked, with a dark rust line through the metal. That rust line is a stress fracture. It’s already failed structurally, even if the gate is still upright. It will shear completely, and when it does the gate can drop hard.
• The gate vibrates or shudders when it stops. Loose or broken tack welds in the frame are no longer damping the stop force. Every cycle is hammering the remaining welds looser.
